How to Access Your Local Drives Inside Your Remote Desktop Session
Learn how to easily access and manage your local drives while using a remote desktop session for seamless file transfer.

Use this article if: you want to access files on your local computer (C: drive, USB drive, etc.) from within your Verito remote desktop session.
How long this takes: 5 minutes to configure. One-time setup.
Note: This is a one-time setup. Once saved, your local drives will be available every time you connect.
What to do
1. Open your Verito RDP profile settings
Right-click your Verito RDP profile on your desktop and select Edit.

Right-click the Verito RDP profile and choose Edit.
2. Go to the Local Resources tab
Click the Local Resources tab. Under Local devices and resources, click More.

Click More under Local devices and resources.
3. Select the drives you want to access
Expand the Drives section. Check the boxes for the local drives you want to access inside the remote session.

Expand Drives and check the drives you want to map.

Selected drives will be available inside the RDP session.
4. Save your settings
Click OK to close the dialog, then go to the General tab and click Save.
5. Connect and verify
Double-click your Verito RDP profile to connect. Once inside, open File Explorer and click This PC. Your local drives will appear under Redirected drives and folders.

Local drives appear under Redirected drives and folders in File Explorer.
You should now see
Your local drives listed in File Explorer inside the RDP session. You can copy files between your local computer and the remote desktop as needed.
