Emailing from QuickBooks

QuickBooks allows users to send emails using the following options:
Web Mail (POP/IMAP)
Outlook (POP/IMAP/EXCHANGE)
This option only appears if Outlook is configured on your Verito Cloud Desktop.
If you need to add a Microsoft Office subscription to your account for Outlook integration, please have your Account Owner or Account Admin contact our Technical Support team.
Setting Up Email in QuickBooks
To email from QuickBooks, you first need to establish the email type you want to use within the application.
1. Access Preferences
- Open QuickBooks.
- Click on Edit in the menu bar.
- Select Preferences from the dropdown.
2. Configure Send Forms Settings
- Select Send Forms from the left-side menu.
- Only the Web Mail option will display profiles to Add, Edit, or Delete.
- Outlook and QuickBooks Email options will prompt during the email process within QuickBooks.
Email Setup Options
Web Mail Configuration
- Click Add in the Send Forms window.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Email ID: Your full email address.
- Email Provider: Select your email provider from the dropdown, or choose Other if not listed.
- Server Name: This is the outgoing SMTP server. (Varies by email provider.)
- Port: Most commonly 25 or 587.
- SSL: Check this box if your email provider requires SSL encryption.
- Click OK to save the settings.
- When sending an email from QuickBooks, Web Mail will be the default option. If multiple email accounts are added, you can select the preferred email from the dropdown in Edit > Preferences > Send Forms.
Outlook Configuration
- When sending emails via Outlook, QuickBooks will open a new message in Outlook, allowing you to add attachments or modify the email before sending.
- Troubleshooting Outlook Issues
- Outlook is not showing as an option: Outlook may not be configured on the Verito Cloud Desktop.
