What Verito Will Do
- Remotely lock the device to prevent unauthorized access (We can do this only if the device is connected to the internet).
- Reset your cloud account passwords (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, 1Password) to prevent anyone from logging in from the stolen device.
- Revoke active sessions so the device is signed out of all cloud services.
- Monitor for suspicious activity on your accounts in the hours and days following the incident.
What You Should Do
- Call Verito Support as your first step.
- If the device was stolen, file a police report. You may need a copy of this for insurance and compliance documentation.
- Notify your firm's designated security contact (typically the firm owner or office manager).
- Change passwords for any personal accounts you may have accessed on the device (personal email, banking, etc.).
