1. Adding a New Device
If your firm is purchasing a new computer or adding a device for a new employee, please notify Verito before the device is put into production use. Here is why:
- We need to schedule a brief remote onboarding session to install the security tools (monitoring, antivirus, backup, VPN) on the new device.
- A one-time $100 setup fee applies for each new device added to your plan.
- We will set up the user's 1Password and NordLayer accounts during the session.
To get started: Contact Verito Support at (844) 629-9899 or itsupport@verito.com and let us know the new employee's name, email, and when the device will be ready. We will schedule the onboarding from there.
2. Replacing a Device
If you are replacing an old computer with a new one (same user, new machine):
- Contact us to schedule the onboarding for the new device.
- We will install all security tools on the new machine and restore your files from backup if needed.
- We will remove the security tools from the old device and ensure it is properly offboarded.
If a device is added on the same day that another device is removed, the $100 setup fee is waived. Let us know it is a replacement when you contact us so we can apply the exemption.
3. Removing a Device
If a device is no longer in use (retired, sold, or decommissioned), contact Verito Support so we can:
- Remove all security tools and monitoring from the device
- Update your billing to reflect the reduced device count
- Advise on secure data wiping if the device will be disposed of or given to someone else
If you reduce your device count, any future device additions will be treated as new devices and will incur the $100 setup fee -- even if you are returning to your previous device count. Please keep this in mind when planning changes.
4. An Employee Is Leaving Your Firm
When an employee leaves your firm -- whether voluntarily or involuntarily -- contact Verito Support as soon as possible so we can help secure your firm's data. Here is what we handle:
| Action | Details |
|---|---|
| Revoke access | We disable or remove their 1Password account, NordLayer VPN account, and any other managed tool access. |
| Secure cloud accounts | If applicable, we reset passwords, revoke active sessions, and update Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace access. |
| Offboard the device | If the employee's computer is being retired or reassigned, we remove our tools and wipe or re-provision as needed. |
| Update billing | We adjust your device count and billing accordingly. |
If an employee is being let go immediately and you need access revoked urgently, call us at (844) 629-9899 rather than emailing. We will prioritize revoking access to prevent any data risk.
5. Traveling Internationally
If you or a staff member will be traveling outside the United States, please let Verito Support know in advance. Here is why:
- Security alerts: Logging in from an unfamiliar foreign IP address may trigger automatic security locks on your cloud accounts (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace). Notifying us in advance allows us to whitelist the location temporarily.
- VPN usage: Always connect to NordLayer VPN before accessing firm data while abroad -- especially on hotel, airport, and public Wi-Fi networks.
- VPN restrictions: Some countries restrict or block VPN connections. If you experience issues, try connecting to a different NordLayer gateway or contact Verito Support.
